Libertatis Interitum : America Becomes a Police State
Welcome to 1984
I say these things, I write these things, the odd things, the not so normal things and the paranoid things not as entertainment but more as a way to slightly amuse myself with the absurdity of what our nation has become. I don’t do it out of malicious intent. I’m beyond the trapping’s of the two party system, the ideology that we have a left and a right, a red and blue. We don’t, we never have and never will. The Democratic charade is equally as absurd as the Republican. In truth, they are simply shadows on the wall, figments of the corporate/financial/political elite’s imagination.
I’ve surpassed the idea that political parties and more importantly, the politicians that make up those political parties, have any real power and act autonomously. Only the very slimmest of margins, the smallest of percentile’s, actually has the courage to carry out their constituent’s will.
Which is why I don’t find the passage of the NDAA so very shocking. unlike many other Americans, I already know about the bill, I already know that it will mean the complete and utter destruction of our rule of law and will mark, not a final deathblow, but a serious and ever widening wound to our civil liberties.
So now, the small majority of us that are awake and in tune and observant and fearful and of course completely against totalitarian rule, we are all thought criminals. Thought criminals that are now subject to military law, detention and of course now, no longer subject to that pesky thing called “The Bill of Rights.”
We are at a precipice. We are at the defining moment in our nation’s history: this time will be marked as either the death of the old America and the birth of the new, or the renouncing of the new and a return to the old. I can not speculate as to which would be better. I know what I believe. I have my own opinions on the subject and on the way that the country should look. Every citizen does, or at the very least every citizen should have an opinion as to how the country should look, should be governed should address issues like poverty, civil rights, rule of law, etc.
And as scary as the NDAA is, as scary as I think it will get, the fact that the majority of U.S. citizens don’t have a fucking clue as to what the NDAA is and what sort of language it contains. They don’t know that the bill literally has language in it that sanctions and legalizes the detention of American’s without trial, without reason, without cause and completely strips American citizens of any sense of Habeas Corpus.
They have no idea that the bill destroys Posse Comitatus
In short: They have no idea that they are all Winston Smith. WE are all now Winston Smith. And that’s just fucking sad. I know I’m political, I know you most likely don’t come here to read my rants, many of you who come here do so because they bought my book, “This Is The End.” A zombie novel I wrote, full of piss and vinegar and spelling errors and of course a shit ton of commas that shouldn’t be there. I get that. you come here looking for something that will allow you to escape. To forget. And I just keep coming at you with these atomic bombs of truth. So for that, I’m sorry. But it needs to be done. Because as I just stated, we are ALL Winston Smith now and we are ALL in danger.
The NDAA Bill : A List of Links
The irony of “Bill of Rights” day
The links above, beginning with the actual bill itself, should give you a small understanding of the massive insanity that constitutes the bill itself. The idea that President Obama would have vetoed the bill is a false narrative, perpetuated by the mainstream media and the bought and paid for political process so as to hedge against what should be a massive political fallout from the two party system. Basically they (the global corporate/financial elite) have to keep the lie that we have a political system in place. They have to because they fear the public if it ever were to awaken to the reality that they now live in a massive police state. A police state that is actively war-gaming the detention of American citizens.
There is no cure for this cancer other than to actively rebel against it through PEACEFUL and democratic means. I am not implying that there is one way of doing anything, but what i do know is that all we need is to have one idiotic wing nut psycho go crazy and decide they have the ultimate solution for the problem which consists of massive explosions, for the already corrupt and illegitimate government that is in power over us bring down the Martial Law hammer on our heads. That nightmare scenario, mixed with the current depression, the coming full financial collapse/bank holiday and the ever increasing prices of commodities, would be more than enough justification for the totalitarian regime to wring our worthless necks.
But be warned, the system of oppression is already destroying the co-opted Occupy movement, they’ve already turned the Tea Party into a joke and they will most likely see any real protest as a legitimate affront to their power. Again, in short, you who are now reading this post…you are now a rebel, a freedom fighter. Hell, with the publication of this blog post, I’m now a freedom fighter. And with the passage of the NDAA, we could be taken at any moment in the middle of the night, to some detention center and made to confess our sins.
Remember: Now we are ALL Winston Smith.
